What is your passion? How does your passion support your business?

I am new here but I'll get this post going. As I indicated in my profile, I enjoy improving things, finding better ways, and working to improve.
My business stage is still in the idea development stage. I am thinking of a way to network small and mid sized businesses to allow them to use each other to compete nationally and globally. By leveraging each other they can share capacity to earn contracts, gain purchasing power for raw materials, give more opportunites for just-in-time delivery to customers, and many more opportunites.
My passion fits in here because I see a need to help small businesses compete. In this networking model many small busineses will need help supporting or developing infrastructure to support growth. The first system that must be in place is a quality system that will make sure that "widget A" that is made at a shop in North Carolina is the same as "widget A" made at a shop in Kentucky. This is where my passion comes in. I beleive that I can help members of a network improve operations to become better suppliers to customers.

I would like to hear other people's critique of my thoughts and your own ideas.
